About Us

Senior Help Guildford is owned and managed by Duncan Green.

Duncan was inspired to set up Senior Help Guildford by his Grandparents; after they began to require more assistance from him and his family and he became concerned how other elderly people in the local area could continue to live life to the full. Having close family ties himself, he deeply appreciates the importance of remaining in your home, where you feel most happy and comfortable.

Companionship

Bringing joy and meaning to lonely lives.

An increasingly fractured society and an ageing population have led to an epidemic of loneliness amongst the elderly. There's a proven link between loneliness and dementia. Our carers will keep isolation at bay. Sometimes having someone to talk to is the most important thing in the world.

A regular visit each day will bring focus and something to look forward to.

Respite Care

Caring for both Carers and Clients.

Sometimes with the best will in the world, you may need a break from an intense period of caring for a family member. We can ease this burden. You can rest easy knowing that your loved one is being cared for while you take a break.

Time off for a relative who may be juggling care with their own work or family.

After having been in hospital, we can spend more time with your relative. The less lonely they are, the quicker the healing process.

If you're going on holiday, we can take over the care until you're back.

Respite Care Services Include

  • Provide a break for the main carer
  • Peace of mind when the main carer not available
  • Allow carer to recuperate

Fresh Meals

Taking care of physical needs helps improve mental function.

Older people find it harder to get the nutrition they need from the food they eat. Often when food is prepared for them, they’re more likely to eat – especially if they have company whilst eating.

We can prepare simple meals for them to eat whenever they choose.

Each carer will get to know what their client likes and can ensure the cupboards are filled.

Sometimes older people need reminding or encouraging to eat something.

Services Include

  • Meals prepared according to diet plan, cultural or religious needs
  • Cooking and Preparing Meals
  • Meal planning
  • Prepare shopping lists
  • Grocery Shopping
  • Getting ingredients
  • Checking food supplies
  • Check food expiry dates

Outings

There's a world out there. Let's help older people enjoy it.

If it's possible, our carer will encourage clients to get out and about. This could open their world.

Walks in the sunshine.
